1 year pass

Thu Dec 13, 2007, 10:41 PM
so one year passed and it seemed like yesterday that the quarter started off with Language of animation. Those were good times~

I wish everyone a great holiday and hopefully everyone enjoy their time.

This quarter has been quite challenging and, fun. I just have to remind myself, and I always do, that this is art and it suppose to be fun. If it starts to feel like work, then I should change my major!~. So far the fun and the learning curve has been challenging, but rewarding.

take care all

The Pronoun

Sun Oct 28, 2007, 11:19 PM
What is a Pronoun? According to wikipedia it means

" In linguistics and grammar, a pronoun is a pro-form that substitutes for a noun or noun phrase with or without a determiner, such as you and they in English."

So what if a higher rank professional refer you as a pronoun after a year and 3 month meetings, instead of your name? It means you werent worth his/her time to be known as your name. This to many people is quite an insult. Even before the word " You" was ever used. You were refer to as nouns, such as the yellow paper or another person name and not yours.

Whoever is on the recieving end of this treatment must be a total loser and bum.

This person is me, and my work has been used quite alot for examples for classes. It was used as an end result of the class of what you should be aiming for. Each and every piece were labeled with my name on it, and still my name isnt worth to mention or to be recognized.

this is just more fuel to my flame ,and the biggest anticipated disrepectfu action at the end, that people been waiting for.

thank you for reading. Please read again.

1/3 way there

Sun Oct 21, 2007, 3:15 AM
whats up my dearest friends!

Its almost 4:00a.m. and I just felt like doing a journal tonight just to keep myself humble.

This morning I realize how deep i got myself into this major.

Realizing the divisions of my attention towards this very wide range major GAD. I realize these few days, I been sculpting with clay, animating in 3d, painting on PS, Drawing in my sketch book, learning how to draw interiors in perspective, modeling, texturing and gouche painting. I feel very soaked with work and I sometimes question myself.

I came to a conclusion on how difficult it is to juggle all these different types of medium. What I really want to do is focus on something and be very well trained at it, but I guess this is the time to experience everything before I actually do the comitting. Sounds like marriage ?

I'm not to sure what I want to say actually?

I'm 1/3 way done. I must say, after 3 more quarters, its going to be a sad count down to graduations. Many of us will start to disappear, and i think its best we enjoy our time at school and just be students in the most foolish ways! However, I want to encourage all in our circle and hopefully we will be able to see each other after all thats been said and done.

I know most of us that I know are still pondering what to actually focus on in our major? Is it animation? is it character modeling? is it backgroun? is it lighting ? rigging? compositing? I really wish I knew these answers but I think we will find out sooner or later. I just hope everyone finds what they really want to do and just go for it! not matter how silly it is.. even concept painting! anything!..

to conclude this entry, I realize that..

I just saved alot of money on my car insurance by switching to geico!

nite!

Almost 1,000 clicks! Thanks !

Tue Aug 28, 2007, 11:22 PM
Well hello my fellow deviant knights.

If you are reading this, I just want to thank you for even clicking on the link. I rarely write a journal but there is always a first time for everything. At the moment, I'm a bit tired because of this project that is taking such a long time to do. Actually it doesnt take much time to do, its just the technical things to do it. There is so much things you can do in Maya and its just a great program.

Anyways, this quarter started off a bit strong with projects and midterms already due the first 3 weeks of the quarter. After that, it got kind of easy and a bit too relaxing. I almost went to a stage of wasting time, but I got myself together and learned a few more tricks from a good guy Sia Aka Tenny G. [link]

Thank you Sia! you are a good guy for leading me this far. From modeling to unwrapping to just about everything I will be doing next quarter. Its a fine pleasure to also spend the fridays and weekends just drawing away even though I am not high above as you but its great to see you scribble that pen like crazy.
Good shit!

So I am doing a few more modelings than I needed to do for my level design class and unwrapping and texturing it will be painful. I had only about 25 hours of sleep the last 5 days so I am a bit jiggly. Also a few other sulpting and coding projects up ahead and before I know it, I got so much work to do, its crazy. I havent had a time for myself to work on anything else.

anywho.. hmmm.,,, AH!

Also, Tony DelaCruz. [link] , thanks for the wisdom and advices you had told me man. I gotta retouch on those shape drawings, but I sincerely miss having a class with you my friend. I cant seem to figure out a way to say boo ya when Tampa runs all over the seahawks on this Fall season. Hahaha Jk jk. please come to the lab often my man, and bring hotmale if you can. We damn need a good laugh after this horrible quarter.

This quarter I also met great people and new friends. [link] [link] [link] [link] [link] [link] [link] [link] , thanks for the laughs fellas.

I only write this journal because I am finally going over that hump of 1,000 views so thanks for all the viewers. My next goal is to just keep pounding the rock till I graduate ( spring '09) Hopefully by then, you guys can see how much I have grown.

so thanks for reading and hopefully things turn out the way it should be. Thanks for reading hommies.
